(112) Etobicus Rex

Etobicoke!!! continues to jam pack our optic nerves. Today, we were at large in the Subaru attempting to etablish a new undercover identity as a clerk in the Brewer's Retail chain. Such postings require a great deal of inital groundwork and so, envelopes containing a prole indentity document referrred to as a "resume" provided to me by the Cray III supercomputer in hand, off we went to the surface, to Etobicoke!!! About midway through a ten stop jaunt we found ourselves on a dusty stretch of Lakeshore ironically called New Toronto whence we spotted the content below; part of a huge mural on the east side of an aging eatery/retail establishment with apartments on the upper floor. Giant sea turtles and colourful tropical fish float elegantly on a blue background the length of the building. On each boarded up window, looking in at the riot of piscine beauty, were these figures. How mysterious they seemed to us. Lonely, beautiful portraits by a local Diego Rivera.

editor's note: sea creatures visible upper right and lower left corner final image!

editor's note: according to a 1962 document in the POWcityblog archive the value of merchandise manufactured in New Toronto on a square footage basis was the highest in the world.
