Substance abuse, binge drinking, open-air crack dealing, increased street prostitution, assaults and the usual spike in violent public suicides on Valentine's Day don't make my 'hood any safer. Normally we move the POWcityblog bunker up to yellow alert and just stay the hell off the streets. That doesn't mean we're completely against romance, as you all know only too well. It's just better to be safe than sorry. Having said that we're not against receiving original art, whatever the occasion. We do love to take a break from winding the trebuchet and indulge the genteel joys of opening the snail mail.editor's note: stuff from around your apartment does not really constitute "in the city"
